In 2001 Vikki and Daniel Kalitsi purchased the Visiting Angels franchise and have provided daily living assistance to thousands of residents in Prince George’s county, Maryland and surrounding areas in the Washington Metropolitan region.
“We try hard not to turn anyone away; we find out what the individual needs and refer them to other available resources if they cannot afford our services.”
Vikki Kalitsi’s path to bringing much needed assistance to seniors and families with special needs was a logical combination of her skills as a regional administrator for a Washington area hospital and her rapport with seniors.
After the birth of their first child, Daniel asked Vikki when she planned on returning to work and she replied “never”. Faced with the need to supplement Daniel’s income as an IT consultant, the couple did some research and they quickly decided that Visiting Angels was the heavenly answer they were seeking.
Today, Vikki spends hours on the phone speaking with families in need of a solution. Many families wait until there is an emergency before looking for assistance and Vikki walks them through the process with great patience.
Vikki Kalitsi also serves as President of Prince George Senior Provider Network; and President Elect for Speak! Maryland Oratory League both located in Prince Georges County.
The Visiting Angels Difference
You Are In Charge – We’re On “Your” Schedule
Monitoring is essential
Tailor your care to your needs
We’re Proactive to Meet Your Needs
You won’t get “lost in the shuffle” with us. Some agencies simply react to calls from clients rather than anticipating your needs in advance. Visiting Angels we begin the process by:
- Reviewing your needs through discussions with family members and when necessary, with healthcare providers.
- Service coordinators carefully select the caregiver with the necessary experience and personality that is best suited to the needs of each client.
- Next, we arrange for the caregiver to visit your home with an office representative so that you can participate in the selection process.
- After services begin, we provide ongoing personalized contacts with your family through our case nurses and office staff to insure that the care recipient is receiving the best possible care.
